City Charter Amendment Upheld

The circuit court upheld the Traverse City Charter amendment formerly known as "Proposal 3" on June 26, 2019.  The court ruled that the City Charter provision requiring a "vote of the people" before the approval of any "taller building" was lawful and enforceable, despite many (erroneous) claims to the contrary. This is a great win for the rule of law and for local voters! We are proud to have represented Save Our Downtown in this litigation, and pleased with the perfect result!
